You know you are in West Texas when...

I just got back from visiting my parents in West Texas. I drove almost 1000 miles and got to visit my best friend first in Amarillo then onto Odessa. Whenever I see the pump jacks, I know that I am almost home. This is a common sight in the Permian Basin. I know they have them around Wichita Falls too, but they are thick and close together back home. It was a great trip!
