My Living Locket

I recently discovered an awesome company called Origami Owl, who produces beautiful Lockets! As the daughter of a jeweler (my dads the best!) I am very picky about jewelry.  I love these Living Lockets!  You select the style  of Locket, the charms you want to place in it, and other items and even the chain. It came today on a dreary cloudy rainy day. I heard the doorbell ring early this morning to find the Fed Ex guy driving off and he had left a tiny pkg on the porch, wrapped in a big plastic bag.  

So I hurridly opened it and lookie what I found!  I just love this company and their sweet style.

The founder is a fun gal, and the products are top notch and high quality!  YAY! Im wearing it every day!

We lost an angel

  I wanted to share something personal. I've been grieving for  9 months. My only daughter, misty was pregnant with their third child back in June, but at 21 weeks my daughter began having contractions and over a 4 day period of labor she lost the baby. She got to hold her in her arms, she was only 15 ounces. Perfect but tiny. I never got to see her or hold her myself because she was born in Galveston.   Chloe Madison Niles.   My first granddaughter.  I have her tiny blanket (small as a napkin) and little hat. And teddy bear.  It's been very sad yet a reminder that God is in control, why he let that sweet baby come into our lives I don't know. although she never took a breath, we know she is safe in heaven, with Jesus, and we will see her again someday. She put up a fight for 4 days. Its taken  me 9 months to talk about it. She was supposed to be born in October instead of June. She might be crawling now if she had survived. I belong to a group of professional photographers called "Now I lay me down to Sleep",  from the prayer/ poem.  We are volunteers that ,  free of charge, photograph babies that will not be going home. I never thought I myself or my family would need these services.  I hug my children and 2 grandsons  tighter now.  Life is most precious and sacred. Just wanted to share that with you. 

I finally got to see Aerosmith!

Ive only been waiting since I was 14 years old to see Aerosmith and I finally got to see them, 35 years later! THIRTY FIVE YEARS later, did I really say that?  Yes. Ive been a huge fan for so long and had tons of photos plastered all over my room as a teen.

Me and my friends at the concert, Im in the Pink top, and the girl beside me reminded me of how I used to dress back when i was 19 and 20 and would go to Rock Concerts all the time. We all had a grea time together at the American Airlines Center in Dallas. WOW what a night I wont soon forget!

My father used to tease me a lot about the posters. He would call Steven Tyler "LIVER LIPS" and "SNAKE LIPS" haha.. Both he and my mother were horrified, but not as much as my friend Cyndie with her KISS POSTERS, at least my band didnt wear makeup, I reasoned with them!  Ill never forget in 1978 when Randy Welch took another girl to see AEROSMITH instead of me! boooo

It was when I lived in Plainview and I was shocked!  I also did something very unusual for me, I was so enthralled and Madly in Love with Aerosmith that I actually took my best friends album. I dont recall which one it was but I actually took it from her room! I have a very strong belief in not stealing, but I was so love sick, that I thought that I should have that album instead of her, I was their number one fan and felt she wasnt. Its something im still ashamed of! ( to be 14 and stupid ! Sorry Francie.)  I had the best time and danced the entire time! The warm up band was CHEAP TRICK, which was awesome too. My favorite Front Man, Steven Tyler did not dissapoint, he was amazing with energy and really put on a performance like no one but he can, and Joe Perry too! They even sang DREAM ON and COME TOGETHER! What a great night I wont ever ever forget!  
Afterwards had a great night in the BIG D. I think the $165.00 tickets were worth it, we was so close to them! I didnt take my good camera, afraid it would be taken up, so i took my little Canon powershot A590.My Mantra this year is to start doing the things that I put off while raising our children. Im not having a midlife crisis, but im definetly doing things that make me happy more now that Bruce and I have an empty nest!  FUN TIMES. Life is short!

After the grandkids leave...

Our Grandson came to visit all week last week! His mom had a Dr.s Appt here in town and it was great to have them here. The older one had to stay in Justin in school. Then we celebrated his 3rd birthday back home on Saturday. He had a spiderman theme for everything. He loves spiderman! You cannot believe how well this little guy can talk, and he talks constantly! haha. Its really quiet with him gone now... Very quiet! I miss that little booger! Its Crunch time here at the studio with graduation around the corner! Have a blessed week!

The first signs of spring..Girl Scout Cookies

My adorable neighbors have 2 daughters that are girl scouts. I look forward to them coming every year ! Since I was a brownie myself once, I'm helping them out. They had a huge truck deliver cases and cases, and they are not spoken for yet. So they've got plenty.! Ive done my part. Ive already bought a box of everything they have and 9 boxes of thin mints.! My husband and son and I are weak in the knees for those minty chocolate devils!
