I love decorating for Christmas!

Well Today I continued my Christmas decorating. How about you? I decided to change an area of the studio this morning. When I had my big studio It took me all weekend to decorate it and put up the tree. With my smaller studio it only took me a couple of hours.

Here are some photos of the before the way it was with a portrait of Awesome Dentist Dr. Green and my favorite tapestry, and then empty and after. I love to decorate with garland (sometimes I use Real live pieces from Christmas tree cuttings, the smell is heavenly, but this year I used artificial ones, but I kept with a nature motif. The ribbon has pine cones on it with a little bit of gold and green glitter. Then I wove the ribbon in, and then added the real pine cones and the small pine cones decorated with green glitter that I got here in town. Then I added the spikes of gold and some red berries and then topped it off with gold birds with gold glitter and gold tail feathers. I also added in some Giant Glittery Acorns for good measure. Its not the typical Red and Green that you associate with Christmas. Its more nature colors. Browns, greens, some golds and a touch of red.

I also filled my apothecary jars with the Christmas Candy I grew up with Hard candy, ribbon candy and Gum drops! These remind me of my mom and the neighbors and friends homes we would visit back in the 1960s and 70s.
I will show more photos later this week of our trees and the outside of our home. Oh, I also wanted to say that I got some of the items at Gabbys in Burkburnett, some at the Last Straw in Wichita, some at Pier 1 imports and even some from Wally world (walmart).

I'm getting ready for our Company Christmas party which I always look forward to and and open house where we have friends come for good food and games and fun. (I love to entertain during the holidays! Seeing friends is what its all about to me!)

Thanks for letting me share! Send me pics of your home if you want and I'll post them here! If you want.

Have a nice Sunday evening, time to watch Lonesome Dove now and sip hot chocolate! Goodnight all. :-)
