Ive been behind on my blogging all my shoots lately and I am trying to play catch up!
Yesterday I had to get a massage because of working so much my neck was in bad shape. When you hit 40, you cant sit at the computer for more than 2 or 3 hours without your neck burning like fire. So Michelle at Looking Good got me all fixed up yesterday with a delicious One Hour massage. She is the Best in town, I swear! That girl has the best hands.
Shes also a mommy of twins and a hard working lady. Her phone number at Looking Good spa is 723-0384. Its located near Lowes, behind Circuit City. Its a beautiful spa and the decor is so relaxing and gorgeous.
She said she is accepting some new clients so if you are in need of some relaxation, give her a call! The spa at Looking Good is beautiful, and so relaxing! Its my favorite place in town and Ive been everywhere. I mean EVERYWHERE!
If you've never had a massage then you don't know what you are missing. I don't know why the INSURANCE COMPANIES don't cover massages, because they arnt just pleasurable, they are medicinal.
They truly are. Its not healthy to be walking around all tense and full of lactic acid and your muscles tight. People get headaches from having tight muscles in their necks and backs. People grind their teeth at night from having tension in your jaw and neck. People get their backs in really bad shape, from the muscles and tendons pulling on the spine. Being tense and tight is very bad for your health. Thats why I get a massage NO LESS THAN ONE A MONTH!
Im big busted and I have even more strain on my back and neck. Massages are for everyone! My husband first talked me into getting one on our honeymoon in Jamaica. I was terrified of some stranger touching me. I mean, I barely could handle my one year physical. He assured me that I would feel great and not to worry. WoW, was he right.
So for the past 17 years, its been my sanity. My indulgence. My way of slowing down and enjoying life.
Ive never had to go to a chiropracter. I dont get headaches (I am not kidding, I rarely ever get a headache and I juggle a business with 3 employees and customers and Im a military wife, and run around like a chicken with my head cut off most of the time!)
I have never taken a muscle relaxer in my life or a pain pill. Ive never had a back or neck injury (even though Ive been rear ended 3 times in car wrecks!!!)
I put all the credit on massage. Deep tissue massage is what keeps me limber and loose and healthy.
I have 2 grandsons I play with and an athletic son. I snow ski, waterski, scuba dive, walk and travel a lot and im 45. I work on a concete flooor shooting pictures 4 days a week and run around for 6-10 hours at weddings on Saturdays and Im not thin, or in that great a shape.
I would like to loose about 30 lbs.
But I stay limber and healthy from massage!
How do I put this? Let me say, that I know that massages remove toxins from the body because I see it later. In that I mean, it comes out of you after your massage and after you drink lots of water. In fact, if you do not drink water, you can get a little sick to your stomach, due to the Lactic acid and other toxins floating around in your bloodstream.
I feel so cleansed and great! (and I can touch my toes! haha)
I always sleep so great the night after a massage ( I slept until 10;14 today and I NEVER NEVER DO THAT!) I usually am up at 6:30 or 7:00 every day, but when I get a massage, I know that night I will be out like a light for a good 10 hours at least.
Stress, working, not getting enough sleep, work, worries, bills, it all adds up and takes a toll on your body and a good massage works all that out of you.
Looking good is also running a special right now on their massages, usually a one hour is $50.00 right now, they are only $40.00 I hope you will treat yourself to one.
Don't worry if you are overweight, or think that the person will judge your body. They don't! In fact the lights are dimmed low, and candles are burning and you are covered in a sheet and only the area that is being worked on is uncovered.
Michelle starts with my right calf (lying face down on the oh-so-comfy padded soft table, and works my calves, thigh, and foot, then goes to the other leg, and then goes to your back, neck and lower back. Then your arms, hands and lastly your face.
If your modest and worried about that, as I said you can wear your undies and are covered in a sheet and blanket.
Give Michelle a call! Shes got openings and is eager to get more clients!
The phone number is 723-0384
They also have gift certificates and you can give one as a gift. My favorite gift to receive! I have to have at least one a month. Sometimes my husband will schedule one for me because he knows how I purr like a kitten for days after I have one. ha ha!
