Married 17 years next month!

I cant believe it has snuck up on us, but my DH and I will celebrate our 17Th anniversary in September. That's our engagement photo above. (I created this goofy magazine cover for it today.) The former Presidents of the Texas Photographers took it, Bob and Linda Mintz of Irving, they were the Best in Texas back in those days.

I just cant believe it has been that long. We had a few years that were rocky, we are both independent and leaders. I'm the OLDEST and he is the ONLY child. So you can imagine.

But we've struck a nice balance. I hate to sound old fashioned, but I do see him as the head of the household and I respect that. So I let him lead, but often times he puts me in the lead too, or at his side to help CO-Lead. Our love has grown deeper over the years and we were older when we got married in our late 20s. So we were set in our ways. But I know that he is my other half and vice versa and we compliment each other. We've had more fun this year and we make time to spend time together. With his career and my business its easy to drift apart.

I don't like to talk too much about this subject because i know it is BORING to others, but I know that he and I will always be together. I cant believe 17 years ago, we were in Jamaica at Sandals resort (www.sandals.com) on our honeymoon and looking forward to moving to Japan and wow time has flown by.

One thing about Bruce is that he hasn't aged a bit! Not even one gray hair! Yesterday he and I were swimming in our pool together, listening to music and I looked at him and his skin is flawless! No wrinkles and he always tans so nice. Makes me sick! ha ha.

We like to do a lot of the same things, Scuba Dive, Travel, Snow Ski, Go out on our Boat, Water ski, Do home Improvements, Garden, Work on my old 1951 Truck, and he even loves to SHOP! On our 3rd date, we went shopping and I was amazed that he liked it! We love to go to events that our son participates in, go to Dallas Cowboy Games, and did I mention Travel? (That's my favorite thing to do with him, Hes taken me to 13 countries!)

Okay enough Mushy stuff. Sorry to BORE ALL OF YOU! But I do have the best hubby in the world.
