My Mama

I wanted to let you guys know that my mother is having her surgery tomorrow in Dallas.
This is a serious surgey, its a DOUBLE HIP REPLACEMENT. She was misdiagnosed 12 years ago when she went to the Dr. for serious pain in her back and legs.
The quack told her it was Stenosis and in fact it was her hips wearing down.
Shes lost 2 inches of height due to it and has been in horrible pain for the past few years. I dont know how anyone could handle it. About a year ago, when she just couldnt take it anymore she went to the hospital (i wanted to call an ambulance, but she refused) and they discovered it was her hips were worn completely out!

She is only 62 and way too young to be this cripled up. My mother always led a very active life, and I honestly cant remember one day that she ever missed work due to being sick. She was a hairstylist and had her own salon when I was a little girl and she worked on her feet long days! Sometimes she didnt come home until 9 pm!

She has been scuba diving, tubing down the comal river, hiking, you name it. She worked in the Phillipines for a few months (when she was with Texas Instruments)
and is not afraid of anything. My mom taught me that you can do anything you set your mind to and this big world has a lot to offer and to go and see it and do it!

Shes been in a wheelchair and its so sad to see someone once so vibrant and full of life, in so much pain. :-( fo so long. Shes been waiting for 10 months for this surgery.

Please keep her in your prayers. She so wants to walk and dance again. I promised her a cruise in the Caribbean as soon as she's ready. ( I really want to take her to Greece, which is her fantasy trip.)
Please keep her in your prayers, her name is Annette and she will have her surgery on Tuesday April 8th. She calls that day her "ReBirthday".
Here is a photo of she and I when I was a baby.
My dad isnt well to travel, so it will be my brother and I . I may miss a few days of work to be with her next week. Not sure how many yet.
Thanks for listening.
