Dixie Dobbins a native Texan, is a Certified, Master Photographer working and living in Wichita Falls, Texas. Her studio specializes in infant, children, family, high school Senior and Wedding Photography. Her work has won many awards including "Photographer of the Year Silver Level in 2005 from the Professional Photographers of America and earning her Master Photographer degree in 2000. Her work has been published by numerous magazines and in addition she regularly authors articles for professional photography magazines.
Her work graces the homes of many satisfied clients since opening her first studio in 1991. She recently was chosen to photograph President George W. Bush in 2012. She has dedicated her life to the field and Art of Professional Photography for the past 24 years. Her first job was working for a small Texas newspaper where she photographed the likes of former Texas Governor Ann Richards, Billionaire Ross Perot.
"I enjoy photography because I get to meet such an array of interesting people. I love the challenge of capturing the "essence" of a person and their reactions when they see the finished portraits." says Dobbins.
Dixie is married to Bruce,e a retired USAF Lt. Colonel pilot and has two grown children, Misty and Scott. She is also the grandmother of two boys, Tristan and Aaron. In her free time she enjoys boating, traveling the world, gardening and spending time her family.
