Happy New Year!

I just wanted to post this image I shot last night. It was such a cozy scene I had to whip out the camera!

Im staying warm by the fireplace and were getting ready for New Years. I love these champagne flutes. My husband bought these in Germany the year before he and I met.

I want to wish all our clients and friends and family a Happy New Year. Our lives wouldnt be as blessed without you!

Winter Wonderland

Just wanted to show you guys a link to a wonderful place to go to this Winter.
My husband and I discovered this place about 6 years ago. Its located in Frisco Colorado, which is near Breckenridge. It is called the Galena street Bed & Breakfast Inn. www.galenastreet.com
Its a cozy nice B&B Inn with a jacuzzi and beautiful rooms. The food is delicious and the atmosphere very relaxing and soothing. The owners are really nice folks and its a great little hideaway.

2007 Wedding Dates are Booked Up.

Hello guys! I am enjoying my vacation and time out of town, but I wanted to blog this info.
Ive gotten several phone messages and E-mails from brides who are wanting to know if I will be at the Bridal Fair this year. I attended the show for 7 years in a row, but have not the past 4 years.

I dont see the point because I already have my 2007 calendar booked out. I am sorry for the inconveince, I do recommend Joe Rogers photography (He does a beautiful job and has 30 years experience and is an Excellent Photographer.) I am considering hiring an associate photographer to help me with this load. Although I wont send him or her out to a wedding until I feel confident in their abilities.

I listed all the lucky Brides and Grooms here on my blog a few weeks ago.
I do still have some dates open for 2008.

Im sorry, I can always do the Bridal Portrait for you, or do some beautiful photos of the couple on a weekday after their wedding.

Thank you for your interest in my work. Im always flattered and will help refer you to someone who can do a great job for you. I sometimes wish I was born tripletts so I could be at 3 different places at once.

Merry Christmas

HI Everyone,
Im out of town for a while, hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
We will be closed from 12/22 - 1/2. I will return phone calls and emails upon my return. Voice mails and emails will be answered upon my return.

January..

I know I haven't placed my January calender on line yet, however that hasn't stopped the phone calls. (thank you!) January is just about booked. I have a few select weekdays available. The first weekend of February is booked. Even though I haven't posted my calender just yet...it is perfectly fine to call/email and inquire on dates.


People often ask "how far in advance can I book?" You can book as far in advance as you would like.

I will be attending a Convention in January and so wont be available for photo shoots during the days of Jan 12-17th.
Also, My Itallian photographer friend Luigi Barbano will be visiting us from Italy for 10 days. It will be great having him here. I intend to feed him lots of Texas Beef, chicken fried steak and American fast food. Hes really a fantastic photographer and a wonderful person. I know he will have a great time when he's here. He will sit in on some of my photo sessions. He's a great guy and I know you all will like him as much as we do!

Emily & Inge

Over the years I had the pleasure of photographing many many debutantes. They are almost as elegant as a Bride and it is such a special time in a young ladies life.

Here is something I've never done, however. Photograph 2 Debs who are sisters the same year!
This is Emily and Inge. They are so lovely. There is a close up of one of the paintings so that you can see some of the detail I painted into these.
I spent most of the weekend watercoloring these images.
Some photographers have asked me why don't I just push one button and let the computer do it. I just have to say that there is no compariosn to the finished product. Sure I have about 6-8 hours in each image, but Im so proud of them when they return from the lab mounted on Canvas.

This is what we call our Giclee line and each bears my signature.

The Late Great Steve Grey taught me all I know about painting and I miss him terribly. Espcially this time of year.I'll never forget the look on his face when i presented him an image of his own daughter that I had done. He insisted that I sign it and was so impressed with the quaility.
I strive to make each one look like a real oil painting or watercolor. (Depending upon the subject matter.)

I am so proud of these two photographic paintings and I know their familys will ask "Is it a Painting? Or a Photograph?"

Juliann & Jodys wedding

Just wanted to post this image from Jody and Julianns wedding! This family has been so good to me over the years and Ive photographed almost everyone in their large family. I loved their wedding and they are going to love their wedding album.
According to our records, give or take a couple I have photographed over 500 weddings in the past 23 years. With the most of them being the past 11 years here in theWichita Falls area.
Ive been flown to Florida and to Arizona, photographed beautiful weddings in Japan and even did some images of a couple in Amsterdam Holland.
I love weddings, but Im booked solid for next year. See my blog a few weeks ago to see who the lucky couples are!

Hey yall, This is Alyssa. I really enjoyed photographing her. She has a 1940s look about her. Those big eyes and heart shaped face. I love the Marilyn Monroe type image we did of her with the fan blowing her dress! It was fun Alyssa!

BRYNLEE!

Hey Guys, This is Brynlee, i photographed her last month and she was really versatile!
Sometimes she looked sweet sometimes she looked really cool. I really loved her Maltese puppy. What a cutie pie! We had a great session and I mistakenly forgot to post Brynlee on my Blog earlier. Best of luck to you girl!

SASSY SAM!

Hey Guys! This is Samantha. Shes a very interesting girl! She goes to I.P.H.S. and is a POWERLIFTER! She's really good too. She's been in powerlifting since her freshman year. She plans on going to MSU because that have a lifting program but her heart really wants to go to Tennesssee University.

She's really into the movie "The Nightmare Before Christmas", and collects all kinds of collectables from the movie. She has two dogs, Pepper and Blackjack, and one cat named Crickett. She's really an amazing young lady! Thanks Sam for choosing our studio for your SENIOR PORTRAITS!

AFTON!

Just wanted to quickly post these 2 cool images of Afton from Iowa Park. I love the one we did of her in her swimsuit. She is an awesome swimmer! I did not do any retouching to Aftons figure in the swimsuit image. She really does have an hour glass figure. Maybe I should take up swimming!? (LOL)
I really did enjoy getting to know Afton and her mom. Im so thankful for wonderful clients like them, who are so vocal in their praise and appreciate what I do. Their kind emails they sent meant a lot to me. Thank you Afton and Kathy!

Che

This is Che and he goes to Old High. Che is very talented as he is a mechanic and tricks out cars! He is currently working on a car for himself that is going to be really amazing. He promised that I could come and see it pretty soon and take some photos of it.
I really enjoyed getting to know you Che, Im glad you liked your portraits so much.
I really like the image with the giant nuts and bolts background. I think it suits his personality so much.
