Oh My God. Our son blew our minds yesterday at the Regional Powerlifiting meet in Decatur Tx. He decided he was going to go for 565 pounds. The world Powerlifting WORLD RECORD for a 15 year old boy is 550 lbs! He had never squatted that much before! He did it! (He weighs the least in his division. (226 lbs.)

The current bench press record is 302 lbs and he lifted 315! He is moving onto the World Meets, but in the regional meet he competed against boys who are Seniors (and he is a Freshman) He won 4th place in his weight division. We are very proud of him and all the Burkburnett boys. They won 3rd place overall. All the boys worked extremely hard and we are so proud of them. Lorenzo Barnes, won FIRST with an overall 1710 lbs.!
