Oh the other day, I didn't have time to write about this subject.
I wanted to tell you guys about The GEORGE LOPEZ show here. Even though George Lopez's show on TV is clean, his show here had lots of profanity. It was funny in many ways, but there was profanity and some pretty vulgar subject matter.
I don't know why comedians do that now days. Its hard to find one who doesn't? Just wanted to let you know that. If he comes again be forewarned about it. It s a shame that comedians think that they have to talk like that. He got out of control a few times.
Hes a very funny guy and doesn't need to resort to that level. But I still like him (No one is perfect but it was still shocking and disappointing. I think hes just doing what gets the biggest laughs from the majority.)
Got to go! Sean is gonna be here in a bit!

When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting 'I'm clean livin''
I'm whispering 'I was lost, Now I'm found and forgiven.'
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow!

Death by Chocolate
This is for a competition that Im entering. i shot a ton of photos. I ate a few too though. SHHHH dont tell.
Down Memory Lane

My sister sent me this photo from her wedding album today. I remember this like it was yesterday. This is my beautiful daughter (she was the flower girl) My sister is the Bride and yep! Im the 80s Bleached Blonde.
I cried my eyes out at this wedding because it was so beautiful and this is my one and only sister Angela. She married a great guy and now they have two kids. (My brother has no kids and my husband is an only child, so they are MY ONLY neice and nephew.)
She wrote me the nicest email the other day that just made my day.
I love her so much. We were FOXY Ladies! haha (this was in about 1988 or 89 I think. I was a single mom going to college and i remember how poor I was. Thats why I was so skinny.
I didnt even have the money to pay for my dress. My mom had to pay for it for me.
That was a hard thing to deal with.
Look at my baby daughter!? She was so little. Shes going through a really rough time right now and I miss her so much. She is the mother of my 2 grandsons.
Gosh how time flies. Thats what pictures are for. To take you down memory lane and capture things as they were. I wish that I could go back to that time. I was struggling so hard to become a photographer and working two jobs up in Amarillo and freezing that winter. I had no car and took the bus to work and walked everywhere too. It was a very tough time for me. But then a lot of my life has been that way. But I had my little girl and my health then.
Hard work pays off!
WOW! I just hit the 20 pound mark! I've been going to the gym with son since February the 5Th. and have already hit the 20 lb. mark this morning!
Its amazing just 1 hour every day can do.( 6 days a week)
Its 7:42, so I'm headed out to meet Heather and Michelle this morning. I work out at different times on different days. But I like the early monrnig ones best!
Whats odd is that I need a lot LESS SLEEP NOW. Im waking up at 5:30 am. And ready TO GO!
I knew my jeans were getting loose but I cant believe 20 lbs in 20 days!
My son is looking too thin, and I don't like it. After power lifting, I hope he puts back on the 25 hes lost.
He and I are following the same diet and training program (except I cheated with asome Valentines candy a little bit.)
Follow along with me! I'm going to start a blog just devoted to my new lifestyle.
I will be honest with you, I had a scare wtih my recent mammogram and going to have some more tests run. I'm not going to worry about it yet.
Because Ive given it to GOD. But I am eating so much better and exercising, regardless of what the tests will reveal next week. And Ive had to eliminate some stress and stressful people from my life. That was hard to do, but I had to for my healths sake.
But ill let you know about the BLOG on my fitness, and BIOPSY soon! (By the way Ive had good reports from my skin cancer the past year too. I have had skin cancer 4 times in the past but got a clean bill this year!)
Now the next thing I'm doing is I'm starting YOGA in March! Got to keep up with those grandsons (The oldest one will be 11 the day after my birthday next week!)

Healing the Heartbreak
I wanted to let you guys know about a type of photography we do that we dont really advertise.
The way that most people find out about this type is when they are in the hospital delivering a baby and the Neonatal Nurses contact me. I did one of these photo shoots just this week and let me tell you it was very emotional.
To put it in sensitive terms here, it is when the baby will not be going home with the parents. When the baby is very sick or is delivered still born. The baby this morning had just been disconnected from life support and was only 6 days old.
The program is called NOW I LAY ME DOWN TO SLEEP. And it was started by my friend and mentor Sandy Puc' from Colorado. To understand a little more what I am talking about you can watch this video.
I pray that no one needs this but in fact it happens often. The photography that I provide is to help the parents to grieve. and IT IS 100% FREE OF CHARGE.
Thanks for watching the video to understand more about what Im talking about here.

Cardboard Testimonies -HE LOVES US.
Ive shown this before, but I wanted to show it again.
This shows that we all fall short of the glory of God. We are human, but OH HOW HE LOVES US!

Clayton Dale

This precious baby boy is the son of one of my favorite Brides and Grooms!
Clayton Dale is only 6 mos old, but he already stole my heart! He reminds me a lot of how my son acted and looked at that age. I couldnt get enough cuddles from him!
He was such a good baby!
Rituko & Jimmys Sunday wedding

As most of you know I don't usually post images of weddings on the blog. I have a private area that is password protected for the families to see their wedding images.
So its unusual for me to do this but I'm putting a few on the blog. The images will be available for viewing by Monday night in the passworded area off my website.
My son is dating the Maid of Honor so I had to post these. The brides colors were lime green and tangerine orange! What a combo! So lively and gorgeous! She had a small wedding with her father serving as the minister and performing the ceremony.
It was a precious wedding and what a sweet couple! Thank you Rituko & Jimmy!
Thanks Pastor and Mrs. Riley for choosing me to do the wedding! It was a lot of fun!

UNCOMMON

WOW! WHAT A BOOK! I heard about this book and wanted to get it for my son. I highly recommend it! I hear they are making a movie about it. And Matthew West (Christian Song writer wrote a song about it! Get a copy here http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1414326815/bookstorenow89-20
“Success is uncommon, therefore not to be enjoyed by the common man.
I’m looking for uncommon people.” When Coach Cal Stoll spoke these words to Tony Dungy and the rest of the freshman football team at the University of Minnesota, he likely had no idea how they would be remembered.
Dungy carried them with him through his days as a student, as an NFL player, and as the first African American coach to win the Super Bowl. Today, he thinks they are words that the world needs to hear more than ever before. Tony Dungy believes that his primary job as a coach is to build men worthy of being role models to a nation of boys who look up to them:
Men of character, integrity, and courage. Men with both confidence and humility. Men who know the value of family and faith as well as career. And his message to them about how to attain real significance in life is one that many people—not just football players—are desperate to hear.
Super Bowl–winning coach and #1 New York Times best selling author Tony Dungy has had an unusual opportunity to reflect on what it takes to achieve significance.
He is looked to by many as the epitome of the success and significance that is highly valued in our culture.
He also works every day with young men who are trying to achieve significance through football and all that goes with a professional athletic career—such as money, power, and celebrity.
Coach Dungy has had all that, but he passionately believes that there is a different path to significance, a path characterized by attitudes, ambitions, and allegiances that are all too rare but uncommonly rewarding. Uncommon reveals lessons on achieving significance that the coach has learned from his remarkable parents, his athletic and coaching career, his mentors, and his journey with God.
A particular focus of the book: what it means to be a man of significance in a culture that is offering young men few positive role models.
What does it mean to be a man of significance?
When Indianapolis Colts coach Tony Dungy took home the trophy in Super Bowl XLI, fans around the world looked to him as the epitome of success.
Athletic victory, professional excellence, fame and celebrity, awards and honors . . . he had it all. But even at that moment, Tony Dungy knew that those achievements had little to do with his ultimate significance as a man.
Coach Dungy still passionately believes that there is a different path to significance—a path characterized by attitudes, ambitions, and allegiances that are all too rare but uncommonly rewarding.
In Uncommon, Dungy reveals secrets to achieving significance that he has learned from his remarkable parents, his athletic and coaching career, his mentors, and his walk with God. You followed his life journey from Michigan kid to Super Bowl-winning coach in the #1 New York Times bestseller Quiet Strength. Now, in Uncommon,Tony Dungy takes you to the next level with a much-needed message on living a life of true significance—and finding the kind of success that satisfies.
“Success is uncommon, therefore not to be enjoyed by the common man. I’m looking for uncommon people.”When Coach Cal Stoll spoke these words to Tony Dungy and the rest of the freshman football team at the University of Minnesota, he likely had no idea how they would be remembered. And his message to them about how to attain real significance in life is one that many people—not just football players—are desperate to hear.
In a culture that defines success by the size of your salary or by the media frenzy surrounding you, Tony Dungy offers valuable insights on achieving uncommon success and real significance. They just may be the most important lessons—on and off the field—that can be applied to your life today.
Tony Dungy is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Quiet Strength. He led the Indianapolis Colts to Super Bowl victory in 2007, the first such win for an African American coach. Dungy had taken eight of his previous ten teams to the playoffs. With this victory, he joined Mike Ditka and Tom Flores as the only individuals to win the Super Bowl as a player and head coach. Dungy joined the Colts in 2002 after serving as the most successful head coach in Tampa Bay Buccaneers history.
He has also held assistant coaching positions with the University of Minnesota, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Minnesota Vikings. Before becoming a coach, Dungy played three seasons in the NFL. Dungy has been involved in a wide variety of charitable organizations, including the Fellowshp of Christian Athletes, Athletes in Action, Mentors for Life, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, the Prison Crusade Ministry, and All Pro Dad.
He also works with Basket of Hope, the Black Coaches Association National Convention, Indiana Black Expo, the United Way of Central Indiana, and the American Diabetes Association. He and his wife, Lauren, are the parents of six children: daughters, Tiara and Jade, and sons, Eric, Jordan, Justin, and the late James Dungy. They live in Indianapolis, Indiana and Tampa, Florida.

Holland is 7 months old already!

Just look at Precious Holland! Shes getting so big! She came in the other day in her Valentines Jammie's! Shes getting so big and her personality is really coming out. This little girl comes every month for her portraits! Her mama is smart to really document her first year so well.
She is in our "Watch me Grow" plan, and each month we do something special.
I have more photos of her to post, but I'm going to do it here in a bit. Thanks Guys, I always love seeing you and baby girl Holland.
Black Angus Cattle ranchers

Today I got to meet a great couple! They live on a Ranch and raise Black Angus cattle! They've just been elected by the Texas Black Angus association as this years President. I had such a great time with them. This couple sure know how to laugh and enjoy themselves and it was fun spending time with them. I enjoyed touring thier land and their home so much! (and when they told me the wonderful referall a friend of theirs gave them about me, I was so flattered! ) Thank you again Mr. and Mrs. B.!
The most important thing.
For Christmas, I bought our son a book.
Before I tell you the name of the book, here's the first page of the book. Think about this as you read it and see if you can figure it out. Don't cheat and look yet. Because this is what I preach to my employees and my family. (and to myself) I love this. Because this is the GOOD STUFF here.
WHO AM I?
I am your constant companion.
I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down in failure.
I am completely at your command.
Half the things I do you might just as well turn over to me and I will be able to do them quickly and correctly.
I am easily managed--you must merely be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done and after a few lessons I will do it automatically.
I am a servant of all great individuals and, alas, of all failures as well.
Those who are great, I have MADE GREAT.
Those who are Failure, I have made failures.
I am not a machine, though I work with all the precision of a machine.
Plus the intelligence of a human.
You may run me for a profit or run me for ruin, It makes no Difference to me.
Take me, Train me, be firm with me, and I will place the world at your feet.
BE EASY WITH ME AND I WILL DESTROY YOU.

I AM HABIT.
We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then is not an act but a habit." -Aristotle
Habits are things we do consistently, Depending on what they are , they can make or break us. I have always believed this and I strived desperately to help others develop good habits. I have to ride my son to brush his teeth. But he automatically works out every day and makes time to exercise.
I have to ride myself to take the dog for a walk, but I automatically brush and floss every night (didn't always but have the past few years.)
I have ridden my employees to do the same things every morning, but forget to call my parents. Its all about Habits. I admit, It annoys me when someone cant break a bad habit or form new good ones. Because the person cant see what they are loosing. I had a pregnant employee once who had some bad habits, Drinking Caffeinated drinks was one.
Even with a growing baby inside her she couldn't kick the habit. I just think that is weak minded. What more motivation do you need?! Ive pleaded with my mother to stop smoking. I have good ones and bad ones like everyone else. But I do know that Habits MAKE YOU. And once something becomes a habit, its automatic. You can change the bad ones and implement the good ones.
That's why I don't like Cursing. If I start to hear cuss words, then I start to pick them up! I hate them, so I don't allow it. I used to fine my husband $10 everytime he muttered a 4 letter wod (being in the military for 25 years will do that.) Hes really cleaned up his language.
I like to get my paper work done first thing in the morning and handle emails at this time too. I used to do my running at night outdoors when it was cool, (got out of that habit when we lived in Japan and it was so humid and muggy even at night!)
The book is called The 7 Habits of Highly effective TEENS. by Sean Covey. Its a great book! I recommend it. Only $10 thru Amazon.com or here in town at the mall.

GOOD OR BAD HABITS, They will shape you. Look around you at people you know with bad habits and how they suffer from them? If they would only replace those with new good habits. What a difference it would make in thier lives. How much better. They arnt even thinking about what they are doing, its just automatic.
Just thought I'd share that with you guys this morning. Now my new habit of going to the gym and doing Cardio on Mon Wed and Fridays. Got to go!

Quote of the Day- LOVE
"Love doesn't make the world go round; Love is what makes the ride Worthwhile. "- Elizabeth Browning

My husband surprised me last night with the Movie Casablanca! Even though Im a huge romantic movie fan, i had never seen it! It was great and the photography was amazing! But I didnt realize that the guy didnt get the girl in this one till the end! Im glad I finally got to see it.
We like to stay in a Hotel in Fredericksburg TX that is just like the movie Casablanca. Its called the Hanger Hotel. Its amazing how much of it looks just like out of this movie! http://www.hangarhotel.com Part of me loves the 40s so much. The Air Planes, the Clothes, the furniture and the romance!

Happy Valentines Day!

I just wanted to tell you guys Happy Valentines Day! I was going to fly to Denver to see my husband, but he surprised me and came home last night! (He knew I had some work to do this weekend and couldnt really leave it for a few days.)
How sweet! Our son has reservations at the Country Club to take his date to a 4 course meal, and my husband and I are staying in and cooking together.
(Our son and his date will have Chateaubriand and a Maine Lobster Tail, Roasted Crab Bisque, Warm Bacon Vinaigrette Spinach salad, Truffled Mashed Potatoes and Rooot Vegtables. Romantic Dessert Trio for two of Chocolate Creme Brule, Chocolate Lava Cake and Chocolate Truffles. we get Home cooking by us. haha.
I want him to have a Romantic Dinner with his sweetie! He loves to dress up and go out sometimes. He also got her some other goodies. Shes a lucky girl! I love to see him be romantic, its so cute!
I opened my mail and got some really sweet cards today. My favorite was from my employee Gina who sent me this! A precious little matted art piece that says "The world needs more people like you!" with my name on it! Thats So sweet Gina.... I got a lump in my throat.!
Also got a sweet letter from one of my students thanking me for the class I held and all I did that day. What is more touching than when people appreciate you and give back? Really, that's as good as it gets. My mother in law also usually sends me candy (and to all of us) and was sweet this year and didn't, since she knows Ive been finally working on me for a change (instead of giving to everyone else, I'm giving a little to myself and spending an hour a day at the gym, just me and my son!) ( I used to could bench 130 lbs. about 11 years ago.)
I got to go now, But I hope you all can find a way to show the ones you love just how much they mean to you. Because you never know what the future holds. With the Plane crashes lately, and all that's gone wrong in this country, its nice to know that people love you no matter what happens. That's what makes life worth living.
Here's my love to all my family and friends! Have a good one!

Burkburnett Boys Won First Place!

We are so proud of our son Scott. He won FIRST PLACE in his weight division Thursday night in the Power Lifting meet. He had a total of 1450 pounds for his three lifts. That makes him first in the Region! Here he is squatting 610 lbs! He Bench Pressed 340 lbs and deadlifted 500 lbs. I guess my cooking is pretty good afterall!. (haha)
Hes trained hard and works out every day and he and I run on the treadmill at the gym for an hour a day. Hes lost 14 lbs and looks like a Marine! Especially with his beard now. Its hard to believe he just turned 16 a few weeks ago.

Heres the videos of his three lifts that earned him the score of 1450 which put him in FIRST PLACE. I was taking photos at the same time and videotaping, thats why its sort of sloppy looking! His dad was out of town, so I had to do it all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGWSWTh8q9Y
And also Congratulation to Lorenzo Barnes who won first in his heavy weight division. He was on the news last night! Last week he squatted 800 lbs! He did great last night too! Here's a video. http://www.powerliftingwatch.com/node/10388

Oilfield Senior
We finished Sean's Sr. Pics. This is one of my favorites. Sean works on his families oil lease and we got some shots of him working today. I love the Gritty look of these shots. The pump jack was in motion and made me miss home. (Odessa Midland) Call me Kookie, but I love the smell of Oil! (this is up in Oklahoma. today.)Sean is such a natural in front of the camera! I didn't have to direct him much at all. Some people just make it easier than others! Thanks Sean!

This young man is the best conversationalist Ive met. Hes wise beyond his years. I don't remember being able to talk to a young man for so long, He is knowledgeable about a lot of subjects and we had a great time. The only problem is we talked more than we took pictures! So we have to finish up his outdoor shots later. The sun went down!
Sean plays football, runs track and also plays basketball. Hes a great kid from a great family! He also got to meet my son and they talked football and wieghtlifting for a while too. Great kid!
He is going to become a Pharmacist and has clear goals and a great personality.

God Tube is now tangle
I just found out this week that GOD TUBE changed their name to TANGLE. I was curious why, so I researched it. The T stands for a Cross and then the word Angle. The videos have a Christian Angle to them.
Here s a video by the founder Jason from Dallas TX explaining it!
I think its a great idea actually! Click on the link. Okay back to work now!

Gladys from Austin!
This happened a couple of years ago, but I still love it! This sweet little old lady Gladys Hardy from Austin TX. is so cute and precious! I hope you watch it and enjoy it! Gladys is great, she reminds me of my husbands late Nana!
She sells a CD on her website and I have it and its so funny! Her top saying is "I love Jesus, But I drink a little." ! Thats what made her famous! http://www.gladyshardy.com
Her Cd is in some record stores too!
My First Valentine, My daddy!

Wow! What a treat! My dad called me and we talked for 3 hours! We haven't talked that long on the phone in a while.
Let me tell you about my Daddy, He turned 80 back in October and hes an amazing guy. You honestly wouldn't think hes a day over 60 really. Hes always been really young for his age. When he was 33 and my mom was 18 they got married. My mom thought that he was very close to her age.
Here is a photo of him when he was in his early 20s and he had a Boa Constrictor named "Connie" He would feed her Hot dogs! She got so huge that he finally had to give her to a zoo! This was in Midland Texas back in the 50s (George Bush lived there then and lots of other Oil Tycoons.)
My dad is the coolest man in the world. He was my first Valentine and will always be my Favorite Valentine! My hubby is 2ND, sorry, but Daddy set the bar really high.
He is the strongest man I know, and the funniest. And the most protective. He can be really reallymean, but not to his family. He survived the front lines of Korea and was awarded medals.
Hes a good shot both with a shotgun and a pistol (and a rifle) he taught me to shoot when I was only 9. (You should see me with my 357 nicknamed the "Dixie Special" at the shooting range, thanks to his training. I prefer pistols, rifles kick too hard.)
He has these steel blue eyes that are both beautiful and scary. Hes te best Jeweler in the world and has won so many trophies and awards for his original designs. Hes got more talent in his pinkie than most people have in their entire bodies.
He makes me and others laugh. Hes amazing.
I love my Dadsy!
Thanks for calling me Dadsy! I'm going to call him on Sunday and talk another 3 hours again. Hes lived an amazing life and done some amazing things and I never get tired of hearing his stories.
Love you Dadsy!!!
