What I want for Christmas...

As a Master Photographer who began with Medium and large format Cameras, the ultimate camera in my book is the Hasselblad. (German built and a fine piece of mechanical engineered work of art.)

I actually have kept every camera I've bought over the years. Right now Im shooting with the Canon 5D, but I have been longing to go back to medium format.

Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I learned that the Hasselblad was the Rolex of cameras. Most of my mentors shoot on Hasselblad. Ive been watching them over the years and now they've got some great DSLR type cameras, instead of a digital back magazine to attach to your large format camera.

There are 3 outstanding ones they offer now. The first one is a 22 megapixel camera, and 31 megapixel and a Awesome Jaw Dropping clairty 39 Megapixel camera! The H3DII is awesome! I would assume ost likely to be teethered to a computer to shoot this way. (My biggest flash card right now is a 4GB haha Or does it have a built in hard drive in the camera? Not sure about that yet.)

They are beautiful cameras and intened to look at them at WPPI. Of course they are still out of my range with the 39 MegaPixel at the bargain price of $32,000.00 (

I found a video for you guys to see these beautiful babies! Check it out. Also here is one my favorite sites, its Hasselblads home page. http://www.hasselbladusa.com/

The Hasselblad H3D is the world's first 48mm full-frame, large-sensor, medium-format DSLR camera system. The H3D has been developed around a brand new digital camera engine producing increased lens performance and a new level of image sharpness. By focusing solely on digital camera architecture, Hasselblad is able to offer photographers the full benefits of professional medium-format digital cameras as well as the ease of use of the best 35mm DSLRs.
