Bluejays

I love the bluejays i keep seeing each day in my yard. They are so pretty. But they sure are mean to the other birds.

Cutie Corrin!

Hi yall! Ive been so swamped lately Im averaging 4 hours of sleep per night! Im sorry I havent posted everyone lately, I will get caught up soon, but right now i wanted to post these images of Corrin.

Shes so pretty! She has naturally green eyes with shiny jet black hair. Its such a pretty combination.

I'll post more about Corrin later. Shes a really interesting young lady.

I fell in love with this baby the minute I saw her. She smiled at me the sweetest smile. It sure made my day.

EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME ADDITION!

EXTREME MAKEOVER HOME ADDITION was here in Texoma this week!

We went out today to see the Westbrook family get to see their new home which was built by the ABC show! It was so exciting!

Today was the final day when the homeowners come home and the host of the show, Ty says "MOVE THAT BUS!"
It was really great!

Gene and Peggy Westbrook, the home owners have had some painful things happen to them and it was great that the city of Lawton, OK rallied around them and got this done for them.
Gene was injured in Iraq and is now paralyzed and then shortly after that a car accident caused his 9 year-old son to be paralyzed too! His daughter also lost a kidney in the accident. Just heartbreaking. Read about it at www.extremeok.com

It makes my heart warm to see people rally around a family who have had hard times and help them up. If any family deserves it, its definetly this family.

I got to see the host Ty Pennington, and Ed Sanders, the british hunk of the show and also my awesome photographer friend GAIL NOGLE from Dallas was there!

It was really exciting to see how they film the show (and watch all the camera men working.)

It was great. At the end tonight, they had a camera on a giant boom arm and as the sunset the Westbrook family came outdoors and thanked and hugged everyone. It was so great standing next to the Army seargents in uniform and we all were clapping and cheering like crazy.

The Ashlocks

Here are one of my favorite clients- The Ashlock family. Ruth is such a sweetheart I'm so very fond of this family.

By the way, Ruth was very smart, she chose the portrait to be in a nice size. 30 inches x 24 inches.

They have a beautiful home with very high ceilings. This size will grace the wall nicely and allow you to enjoy it from any area of the family room.

I know it will hang proudly for many many years to come. I thank God daily for my wonderful job and the great folks I get to meet.

What a wonderful vacation...

Ahh..... I can still smell the wood burning in the chimney and Taste the hot cocoa.

We just returned last night from our annual Winter Vacation. My son, husband and I go skiing every year. We had a great 6 1/2 days up in the snowy mountains of New Mexico.
My husband and I have been going there since 1990, and Ive been going there since I was 13 years old!

My son is quite the snowboarder, in fact here is a video below of him going down one of the blue runs. He was carving the new powder and having a great time!
The cabin that we stay at is the best! Its high in the mountains, with a breathtaking view.
The best part was each night sitting in the hot tub with a glass of wine watching the snow.
HEAVEN. (here is my son one night, enjoying the view after a long day of skiing.)

I'm back and glad to be back and rested and relaxed. I have got lots of creative ideas for some of my sessions this week.
Thanks for all your kind emails while I was gone (all 156 of them! LOL!)

(PS the Cabin is secldued in the trees, sleeps 12, has a 70-foot wrap around deck, hot tub, 4 bedroom, 3 full baths, dishwasher, fireplace, washer/dryer, and foosball table, plus.....a view to die for!)

Winter Delight

Natures Wonder!

Im a big animal lover and i enjoy watching all the birds in my yard in the summer. But this winter I thought, "Why not try to attract birds in the winter?" So i picked up these great hanging "socks" of thistle seed for Golden Finchs.

Golden Finchs are really cute little birds. They are smaller than sparrows and are so fun to watch.

You can get the seeds at Walmart for about $2 or $3. I hung one "sock" and waited a couple of days (the instructions say to be patient, it takes a while for the birds to feel safe.)

And sure enough one morning I looked out and there were 4 or 5 of them feeding on the sock!

I love to sit with a big steaming cup of cappicunio or coffee in the morning and watch them feed. Ive also seen a Blue jay and a redbird! I grabbed my camera this morning and got this shot. This is the 2nd one Ive placed outside, they ate most of the seed in about 2-3 weeks. They are inexpensive so I dont mind.

It's so fun to see the wildlife even in the cold of winter. Its snowing right now, and they are out there enjoying themselves.

This may sound hokey, but I believe God smiles when we he sees us taking care of his animals.

I know it makes me and my family smile too. Try it!

Melissa

Madonna & Baby

Today I got to meet several terrific people, but one of them was Melissa and her beautiful little boy Ayden. Hes so adorable and those blue eyes! WOW!

Melissa is from California and she wanted some very special beautiful images of her and 2 month old baby. So I created about 50! this is my favorite of them together.

I also spent over 4 hours and 21 minutes "painting" this image. Its from our Signature line of Giclee art prints.

It will look and feel like a painting. I cropped it close so you could see the beautiful hand painted strokes.

Becky & Doug

I first met Becky about 7 years ago when she came in for Senior Portraits. SHe also used to babysit for me and she also worked for me taking Santa Photos and Easter photos and she even dressed up as the Easter Bunny once for me. Shes a really wondeerful young lady. Im really proud that she chose me for her wedding. She comes from a fantastic family too! Love em!

I photographed her sisters wedding over 6 or 7 years ago and now its her turn!

Becky and Doug live in Austin and are planning a beautiful May wedding.

Today we created their engagement portraits and we had a wonderful time. I beleive that God creates a mate for all of us and Im certain that Doug is the man God made for Becky. He is so kind and sweet and the way he looks at Becky is with such love and tenderness.

Even though it wasso cold today their love kept them warm!

Just Jordan

This is the beautiful Jordan. She and I lived on the same tiny island in Japan at the same time just down the street from me!

It really is a small world even though it is 7,423 miles from Wichita Falls to Okinawa Japan!

She's a wonderful young lady and here are 2 images of her.

Jordan goes to Rider and has been studying dance for 14 years! Shes a very interesting young lady and Ill be posting more info on her later.

A very sweet card came today

Today I got a very sweet card from Leslie and her fiance Adam.

I photographed Leslie a couple of years ago, for the first time and she is such a sweetheart. She and her fiance Adam came in for their engagement portraits recently. They picked up their portraits on Thursday and by Saturday I had a sweet card in the mail.

I truly do value my clients and it is so sweet when I hear from them like this. I keep each and every one and print out the emails I receive also. It really makes my day for people to realize how much I care about them and to return that love back to me.

The sweetest part was where they said... "and tell you what a Nice and Beautiful person you are". That really made my day.

Whitney

Here is Whitney, Shes a pretty cool girl! She is a senior and she says she loves her friends and family more than anything.

She also loves to play volleyball, golf, and cheer. Her favorite gum is Dentyn Fire. She loves funny movies and her favorite is "Anchorman."

Her favorite songs right now are "What Hurts The Most " by Rascal Flatts, or "Nobody's Girl" by Reckless Kelly.

She also loves clothes, like every girl and loves hats and bags, and Shoes! Also swim suits and swim suit shopping!

Her favorite ice cream is rainbow sherbert. She also likes photography and art, mostly paintings. She also loves strawberrys and jalepenos.

She says "I love spaghetti especially my moms. "
