
I love to photograph Ballerinas. Maybe its from my college days when I studied the famous french painter Edgar Degas. I could look at his paintings all day long. Its amazing how art seeps into your subconcious and stays there years later.
When this Burkburnett girl came into my studio, I immediately knew I had to create something like Degas.
Something timeless and lovely.
I am considering entering this image into competition. I love the simplicity and the colors and the translucent soft lighting.

Below is one of the earlier works of Degas. He was mostly an impressionistic painter. Ballerinas were one of his favorite subjects to paint, draw and sculpt.
